By Virtue and Liberty shall you know America: Beyond Bernie to the Revolution

by Kevin D. Annett

Inline image 2

The worst thing to come out of all this is that Bernie Saunders threw away the best chance in the last century to launch a progressive third party in America. We still need to do that, with or without him. -Saunders delegate to the Democratic National Convention, July 27, 2016

I do not want you to follow me or anyone else; if you are looking for a Moses to lead you out of this capitalist wilderness, you will stay right where you are. I would not lead you into the promised land if I could, because if I led you in, some one else would lead you out. You must use your heads as well as your hands, and get yourself out of your present condition. - Eugene Debs, Socialist Party of America Presidential Candidate, 1908

…………………

Pundits high and low have already whipped out their political scalpels to dissect the perhaps not unexpected collapse of Senator Bernie Saunders and his more naïve followers into the entrails of the Democratic Party. Such an operation is not only premature but misdiagnosed, for it dwells on a figurehead and not a phenomena.

Forget about Bernie Saunders. What compelled him to betray the hopes of thirteen million progressive Americans is anybody’s guess, and no doubt will be critiqued to death for years by internet commentators who would rather talk than act. What matters to us is what those thirteen million men and women represent, and the future they may embody.

Nothing like those millions has emerged in America since the Populist movement of the early 20th century, when farmers and laborers directly challenged the two big money parties and the financial oligarchs that run them. One of the peoples’ champions of that time, a railway worker from Indiana named Eugene Debs, declared that their movement embodied a fight for the very soul of America. Today’s progressive movement is of the same revolutionary promise because of its potential to unite all marginalized Americans in a massive cross-party force to wrest the nation back from a war-making corporate elite, and to redefine America in the process.

Understand that we are not talking about a new electoral machine but a revolutionary movement to not only reclaim America but transform its very spirit and substance into the free egalitarian society envisioned by the Founders. And like all true revolutions, this one has already been born first in the hearts and minds of the people, to paraphrase John Adams. It has arisen from out of the depths of a great misery and discontent that is sweeping the nation.

The corporate oligarchy’s two political arms – the Democratic and Republican parties – are doing their best to capture that discontent and define it in terms that will serve the Corporatocracy that has replaced the American Republic. It can be argued that Bernie Saunders performed precisely such a service by capturing and channeling some of that popular outrage back into the Democrats.

Regardless, no amount of back room political intrigue can derail a discontent so huge, provided that it finds its own mind, voice and leadership. And therein lies the challenge.

As that keen observer of Americans, Alexis de Tocqueville, observed in his work Democracy in America,

Americans are constantly excited by two conflicting passions; they want to be led, and they wish to remain free: they strive to satisfy them both at once. They devise a sole, tutelary, and all-powerful form of government, but elected by the people. They combine the principle of centralization and that of popular sovereignty, and console themselves for being in bondage by the reflection that they have chosen their own guardians. By this system the American people shake off their state of dependence just long enough to select their master, and then relapse into it again. Yet he who consents to obey others, who submits his will, and even his thoughts, to their control, how can he pretend that he wishes to be free?”

A people reared to look to authority figures, to live and think vicariously through political “leaders” who are controlled invisibly and beyond their reach, are functional slaves. Regardless of the militancy of their words or program, they are unable to acquire their own outlook and power short of a profound shock that snaps their umbilical chord to the system. Bernie Saunders’ abject surrender to the Democratic Establishment provided such a shock to at least some of his followers, who are searching now for a third party alternative. And yet most of the millions who looked to Saunders to usher in a new America still seem like a gaggle of confused and directionless chickens, if their public remarks mean anything.

Growing up is never an easy thing to do, especially in a culture like ours that instills fear and infantile dependency into all of us from day one. And yet the unquenchable discontent of many Americans remains, and yearns to find its own mature power and expression not defined by the nation’s stale unipolar politics. To do so, their new American revolution must seek out and drink from the source of its vitality: that heart which Alexis de Tocqueville described in 1832:

I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers – and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce – and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution – and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

Rarely is personal and civic virtue a topic in mainstream political discourse, nor is it seen as a necessary preliminary to liberty, as John Adams and other Founders continually stressed. But the truth is that without a moral awakening and the recovery of goodness within and among us, broader social change, let alone revolution, is unimaginable. It was such a revival known as the evangelical Great Awakening of the 1740′s and ’50′s that formed the hearts of the people who made the American Revolution. Then or now, against the brutality of a system gone mad with greed and violence, the sons and daughters of liberty are armed first and foremost by their capacity for goodness: for compassion, a love of what is true, and a refusal to dwell alongside evil and allow oppression and wrong to strike at any one of us.

These virtues form the basis of the program of our new American Revolution, which is rooted in the Natural Law and its three great maxims: No-one is subject to another, no-one has any right to more than another, and none shall do harm to another. When translated politically, these maxims give rise to three corresponding aims of Liberty, Equality and Peace.

By Liberty, we mean nothing less than the restoration of the constitutional Republic of the United States of America and the common law upon which it rests: a Republic in which every man and woman is sovereign and subject to nothing but the common law. To reclaim the Republic, we must disestablish the rule-by-fiat corporate tyranny that runs the government and the courts behind the mask of an American flag.

By Equality, we mean the de-corporatizing of America and an end to the rule of the “one percent”. The financial oligarchy who rule the nation must be as thoroughly dethroned as was King George III, and the wealth of the nation returned to all the people.

And by Peace, we mean the de-militarizing of America and the returning of power to the people through their own citizen militias and courts. An end, in short, to the military-industrial complex and its distortion of America into a permanent war economy and society.

A movement that pursues these goals to the end will win the allegiance of that great unspoken mass of discontented and sidelined Americans, and wrench a broad swath of poor and working people away from the clutches of Republicans and Democrats alike. Such a new alignment around a truly revolutionary third party in America will begin to break the corporate stranglehold and ignite the same flame that defeated the biggest Empire in the world in 1783.

For those who doubt this dream and call it an unwinnable battle, I draw their memories back to 1776 and a remnant few hundred patriot soldiers at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, caught in a winter as deep as our own. Amidst their own defeatism and despair, a poor immigrant named Thomas Paine proclaimed to them these words that carried forward their spirits and the American revolution to final victory:

Where others see now only risk, I see opportunity. But those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the labor of supporting it. I love the man that can smile in trouble, gather strength from distress, and grow brave from endurance. ‘Tis the business of small minds to shrink from conflict, but he whose heart is firm, whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. We have it in our power to begin the world over again.”

Let us search for America in the virtue that rests in the hearts of its people, and the liberty that reaches out from there to claim back the nation that was stolen. Let us begin.

Secret “Black Ops” program identified by Canadian government source

Special Breaking Global News Report from the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS)

July 8, 2016

Program to eliminate Indian residential school activists and stop criminal inquiry began in the spring of 1998

Ottawa and Brussels:

A source within a Canadian government intelligence agency has released to the ITCCS Central Office classified information that reveals a secret program to silence eyewitnesses to crimes at Canadian Indian residential schools and prevent any independent inquiry into those crimes.

According to the source, this program involved the monitoring and harassment of activists, the disrupting of their organizations and the elimination of potentially damaging residential school eyewitnesses: a program that is continuing today.

This plan is outlined in a confidential memorandum to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) dated Friday, April 3, 1998 and issued by an Operations branch of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). The memo is marked Strictly Confidential. Copies of the memo were received by Liberal Prime Minister Jean Chretien, Assistant Prime Minister Herb Gray, Minister of Indian Affairs Jane Stewart, and Minister of Justice and Attorney-General Anne McClellan.

The memo states in part,

“A growing unrest among west coast aboriginals associated with the litigation presently before the BCSC (British Columbia Supreme Court) may lead to the rise of splinter factions that seek to exploit public sentiment over the United Church AIRS (Alberni Indian Residential School) disclosures. Protests and other direct actions by the NYM (Native Youth Movement) and the group associated with ANNETT and NAHANEE have already been planned in these circles … Any independent investigations by these groups into burial sites near AIRS could spell disaster and must be stopped through special ops conducted by the usual RCMP units and private contracted parties … The living aboriginal eyewitnesses pose as damaging a security risk to the government and the churches responsible as do such investigations. These witnesses must be contained or eliminated.” (our emphasis)

The government source responsible for this disclosure has stated to ITCCS officials that further evidence reveals that the same “RCMP units and private contracted parties” responsible for the elimination of Indian residential school witnesses are also engaged in the continued disappearance of aboriginal people across British Columbia. (See www.itccs.org , July 1, 2016)

The government source has agreed to conduct a confidential interview to elaborate the details of this covert program and its continued operation today.

In response, a spokesman for the ITCCS commented today from Brussels,

“This memo explains why the first independent inquiry into residential school crimes in June, 1998 was so effectively disrupted and halted, and why so many key witnesses have been shut down or even killed since 1998. It shows how the enormous black ops and smear campaign against ITCCS and Kevin Annett is connected to this covert program by the Canadian government, and that it is still killing off native people today. It all confirms an enormous and deliberate travesty of justice by church and state in Canada to conceal their own crimes.” (see www.murderbydecree.com , Chronology)

ITCCS Canada and Kevin Annett will soon be issuing a separate and detailed broadcast in response to the April, 1998 memo.

Let Willie Pickton Speak: Revealing the Bigger Picture of Canada’s Genocide

by Kevin D. Annett

Inline image 1

“Pickton was the straw man set up for everyone to gawk at and hate while the real killers got away. The arrangement was vast and orchestrated from the very top”. – Grant Wakefield, former CSIS agent and undercover operative at the “Piggy’s Palace” killing site,  August 4, 2011

“It’s not just our women who are going missing. Whole families are disappearing, starting with the children.  Our northern communities are being wiped out for their land by big corporations and their hired RCMP thugs. It’s the residential school genocide taken to its next step.” – Carol Martin, Vancouver, September 12, 2008

I’ve never met the alleged serial killer Willie Pickton, but he and I have this much in common: we have both just published books that have Canada’s power brokers worried.

Willie’s book, Pickton in his Own Words, claims that he was framed by the RCMP for the murder of dozens of mostly aboriginal women. My own book, Murder by Decree: The Crime of Genocide in Canada, shows that such organized race killing is endemic to this nation and carries on today.

Like anyone who’s worked for many years on the streets of Vancouver’s downtown east side, I learned early on and firsthand of the deep complicity of both the RCMP and Vancouver police in the rape, disappearance and killing of local, mostly aboriginal women. These killings are no more random or aimless than were the murder by decree of more than 50,000 Indian residential school children. They were all in fact targeted executions designed to wipe out traditional native families to steal their lands and complete the final extermination of their nations.

Canada is doing its best to hide these racial murders and protect the real killers through sanitized “inquiries” run by the very groups responsible for our homegrown genocide. Our two books throw a damning spotlight on this cover up.

My book exposes the most blatant of these show pieces – the so-called Truth and Reconciliation Commission” (TRC) that found nobody guilty for the residential schools massacre – by publishing evidence suppressed by the TRC that proves that genocide in Canada by church and state was deliberate and institutionalized from the beginning, and has been massively concealed. And Willie Pickton’s book threatens to derail the government’s controlled in-house “Inquiry into Missing Native Women” by discarding his assigned role as official scapegoat for the organized racially targeted killing of Indians.

Regardless of Willie Pickton’s real or imagined involvement in these killings, he – like me – is a target of a huge public hatred and fear incited by those who stand to lose by the truth coming out. Insiders to a crime, after all, are always the most dangerous of witnesses. But no amount of fear mongering can mask these inconvenient truths:

1. Policemen, crown prosecutors and politicians were all present at Piggy Palace parties where women were tortured and killed, as routinely as “visiting dignitaries” at residential schools abducted and murdered children;

2. At least three other body dumping sites have been identified in Vancouver where Dave Pickton was seen depositing human remains: sites that both the police and media refuse to investigate as steadfastly as they ignore the twenty eight documented mass grave sites of residential school children;

3. As with the TRC cover up of the residential school genocide, every effort to extend the web of criminal complicity past lone individuals has been deliberately stopped and suppressed by the courts and the police;

4. The “official” dead body count, whether of residential school children or aboriginal women today, has been kept ludicrously low, contrary to all the evidence; and

5. Lawyers for aboriginal victims’ families have actively colluded with police and government to suppress any evidence suggesting a wider, systemic crime and not merely an episodic one.

It is truly remarkable how uniform is the pattern of official malfeasance and its accompanying obfuscation, whether years ago or today.

A west coast Indian Agent in January, 1940 expressed this design perhaps more honestly than most bureaucrats when he wrote, after the standard cursory inspection following the death of children at the United Church residential school in Ahousaht, B.C.:

“As this was the property of the church, care was taken to avoid too close an inquiry.”  (P.D. Ashbridge to Indian Affairs, January 17, 1940)

Honesty at the top or not, indigenous nations in Canada are still as firmly in the cross hairs of big money and their state accomplices as they ever were. Foreign investors with a stake in the riches of Canada’s western and northern regions – especially Chinese cartels – are the force behind the reign of terror being unleashed on aboriginal families to dispossess them of their lands and their children. The RCMP is the hired gun working for this Mob and the courts stand by to smooth the arrangement, while Ottawa dissimulates and prattles on about “healing and reconciliation”.

For these reasons and more, the systematic killing of native women and children across Canada will continue, for it is not only a profitable venture but the key to wiping out such a targeted culture over time. And so too will carry on the silencing of voices opposed to this genocidal paradigm and its official narrative. So don’t expect either my book or Willie Pickton’s to hit the Canadian bestseller list, or even to survive to a second edition.

That’s all the more reason, of course, to get our books.

A narrative of extraordinary power and importance, Unrelenting is the long-awaited account of how one man’s courage toppled a Pope and changed the face of the world.

The twenty year saga of Reverend Kevin Annett to expose Genocide and child torture by his own Canadian culture has been recounted in part in other testimonies, but not until now has the entire story been told with such depth and humanity.

In his own words, and drawing on a rich body of evidence and experience, Kevin recounts a Herculean struggle to force a buried truth into the light of day, and to prosecute Church and State for their unspeakable crimes against the innocent.

Written as both historical record and spiritual reflection, Unrelenting moves past the bare facts of a global crime to the deeper question of how moral people are to respond to official malfeasance in their own back yard. Its passion and devotion reveal a man who has found his real vocation as “a doer of the word, and not merely a speaker”.

In the manner of the author’s own cited 18th century ancestor, the persecuted English free thinker Peter Annett, this work is written not as mere commentary, but to arouse the readers and summon them to change.

Reverend Kevin D. Annett has twice been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. He is an award winning author, broadcaster, film maker and human rights figure. He lectures widely in North America and Europe and serves as a community minister and spiritual adviser to many communities including the International Tribunal of Crimes of Church and State. Voting in Canada is Treason: It’s Time to Take Back our Nation!

A Call to all Canadians issued by the Provisional Council of the Republic of Kanata

October 1, 2015

(to be distributed at polling stations and generally to all voters)

On October 19, you will be asked to use a ballot to sign away your sovereign authority to an unaccountable and criminal foreign ruler: the so-called Queen of England. Your rulers call this “democracy”. We call it slavery – and an act of treason.

Every Member of Parliament you elect will take an Oath of Allegiance not to you or to the laws of Canada, but to “Queen Elizabeth the Second and all of her descendants”. Rather than accountable representatives, you will be electing servants of a “crown” that is guilty of centuries of genocide, theft and fraud against the peoples of Canada. Why hand over your power to such a tyranny?

Canadians are awakening to this crime. Nearly sixty percent of you want to end all ties with the British crown and establish a sovereign Republic in Canada. Last January 15, patriots across our country acted on this majority mandate and established a legal framework for such a Republic. You can now live under the freedom and jurisdiction of this Republic, and help bring about a new, truly democratic society under the Common Law.

By refusing to vote on October 19 and withholding your taxes to the unaccountable puppet government in Ottawa, you are declaring your refusal to live any longer under a corrupt foreign power. But we must do more than disestablish the old tyranny. Across Canada, the new Republic is being built on the ground according to the will of We, the People, who are the source of all law and government.

The police, judges and civil servants of Canada are now being asked publicly to disavow their allegiance to the criminal “Crown” and its laws, and swear loyalty to the People of Canada and their rising new Republic. And a Constitutional Convention to establish the first Republican Congress and its laws will be convened in the near future as a working alternative to the criminal regime in Ottawa.

Help us create a future of justice and freedom for all of our people and for your children. Take the Pledge of Citizenship to the Republic of Kanata, join your local Republican Peoples’ Assembly, and reclaim all that has been taken from us. For more information see www.kanatarepublic.ca or contact us at republicofkanata@gmail.com .
